Our story

Established 1973

Fifty-three years in stone.

Decros is the export company of Bayyurt, a family stone business founded in Turkey in 1973 by Şener Bayyurt, a mining engineer who completed his doctorate in the United States and returned home to start it.

It began at the quarry face and grew forward from there: extraction first, then cutting and finishing, then export. Today the group runs its own production in Afyon, a head office in İzmir and two companies in the United States — more than a hundred people in all, working with manufacturing partners in over thirty countries and shipping by the container to retailers, distributors and projects across Europe and North America.

The family

Founded by one generation, run by the next.

Şener Bayyurt founded the company in 1973 and led it for four decades. The second generation has run it since 2010, with Zekiye Bayyurt as chief operating officer — and the third is already working in it.
